What is your hero? Who they are, what makes them a hero, and why we should care about this person?

My hero is Oprah. Oprah is my hero because she has done so many great things in her life. She came from poverty in Mississippi to a teenage mom. She was sent to live with a man in Tennessee who was a barber. She landed a job in a radio station and began co-anchoring the news. That’s where it all started.

Oprah now is the richest African American in the world. At one time she was the world’s only black billionaire. She now has her own talk show called “Oprah” in Chicago and is said to be one of the most influential person in the world. She even has her own magazine called “the Oprah magazine”!

Some of Oprah’s beliefs are different than mine but that is ok. She has done some great things in the world. She brings people to her show that have been apart or mad at each other for years and brings them together, to me that is amazing. Oprah has been a huge part in many charity’s one is called “Oprahs angel network”  which she has raised over 80,000,000$!

Oprah became a millionaire at age 32 and has been in America’s top 400 richest since 1995. To me for someone to become such an influential and wealthy person is astonishing. Oprah to me shows how someone can come from something to nothing with the right attributes.

One day a long time ago there was a hero named Cuz Cuz (Koos-Koos). He was a great hero he fought many beasts such as Cyclops, three headed dogs, and huge serpents. Cuz Cuz became notorious among the humans and the gods. Zeus became jealous of his heroicness and told Hermes to do something about it.

 Zeus: “HERMES!” 

Hermes: (Sacredly) “yes Zeus?”

Zeus: “I need you to go “take care” of this hero named Cuz Cuz”

Hermes: “and how would you like me to do that?”

Zeus: “Kill him!”

Hermes: (whimpering) “o…k”

Hermes felt very bad about what he had to do so he was thinking about a solution on his flight down. Cuz Cuz lives on a large mountain named mount rhino. Hermes had a plan, he would send of Cuz Cuz off to a far away land where no one would remember him and hopefully Zeus wouldn’t notice him. The city Cuz Cuz moved to was called Grapevine. Cuz Cuz lived happily in Grapevine with a wife and 3 kids. But one day Grapevine was attacked by a Hydra (multi headed dragon monster), but Cuz Cuz was brave and slayed the dragon. Cuz Cuz became known as a hero in that town. Zeus heard the news and was furious!   

Zeus: (Screaming) “HERMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Hermes: (scared) “yes?”

Zeus: (Furiously) you didn’t kill Cuz Cuz when I told you to a few months ago!”

Hermes: “sorry” I felt bad for him he didn’t deserve to die!”

Zeus: “well I think he does!”

            So Hermes went to grapevine thinking as hard as he could to figure out how he could trick Zeus into thinking he murdered Cuz Cuz. He finally had an idea he would send Cuz Cuz off to a new city and bring back a dead body from the underworld to show zeus! So Hermes told Cuz Cuz his plan.

            Hermes went down to the underworld…Hermes told hades his plan…

Hades:” hmm”

Hermes: “PLEASE!?”

Hades: “fine but you must defeat the three headed dog at the gate…”

Hermes: (being a god) easily deafeted the three headed dog and retrieved a body to bring back to Zeus.

Zeus (chuckling) “good job Hermes”

Hermes: “Thank you zeus.”

            Cuz Cuz got married again and had kids and a job. Life was perfect…then…a huge winged monster stole his kid and he flew up into the sky, Cuz Cuz followed after him on his Pegasus. He battled with the monster and saved his kid! And once again he was a hero in the town.

Zeus: “HERMES!”

Hermes: “what.”

Zeus: “you lied to me; you said you killed Cuz Cuz!”

Hermes: “no comment”

Zeus: “fine! Make me do it myself!”

*So Zeus went down to talk to Cuz Cuz*

            Cuz Cuz had moved back to mount rhino so zeus met him there.

Zeus: “why are so you so heroic!”

Cuz Cuz: I don’t know it just comes naturally I guess…”

Zeus: well I guess that doesn’t deserve such a cruel punishment…”

Cuz Cuz: (excited) “so will you let me go?!”

Zeus: “no. you will be banished on this mountain forever! And it will be on top of a new animal I am making, The Rhinoceros!”

            And to this day the horn of a rhino is still mount rhino and humans still live on it.
